Let’s face facts:
The World of Content Marketing is changing.
Every. Single. Day.
Every blog post (including this one), every podcast, every video, every photo, every Social Media post and share either adds value for the consumer of the information… Or simply contributes to the noise.
That’s why Content Marketing is and will always be complete B.S.
People don’t want, need or desire Content.
They’re already overloaded with Information.
What do people… Your prospects and potential clients REALLY want?
Well, they didn’t want information optimized for the Search Engines. Too much of this information while showing up on the first pages of search engine results, simply didn’t deliver value.
So the era of SEO evolved into Content Marketing.
Sites simply cranked out content hoping it hit the mark for both search engines and the consumers of the information. Lots of noise. Lots of jockeying about for search engine rankings.
The result: Little real value for the information consumer.
So SEO copywriting… at least the previous clumsy, primitive practice of it… is dead.
Content Marketing is on life-support.

Also, we need to keep in mind, useful Big Data trend information about user intent on the Social Media platforms- Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Google+- is relatively new and not yet mature. We see this in action with Google’s tests and experiments with Google+.
But having the insights and the ability to develop and interact with information that optimizes your Social Interaction with and within your targeted audience is where the leading Digital Marketing minds are focusing their efforts.
